Time to start your mental preparation for the 4th Annual Marble Mountain Polar Dip on January 1, 2011. Dippers congregate at the Marble Mountain wharf on the beautiful Bras d'Or Lake at 1:00pm. Enjoy a warming drink and snack following the dip.
If the beach is inaccessible, the Polar Bear Dip will be held at Martin & Gabi Baumann's on Big Harbour Island. In the event the dip is held at the Baumann's, warming drinks and snacks will be provided in their HEATED garage following the dip.
If this will be your first time doing the dip, wear warm wool socks to keep your feet from getting too cold. Check out photos of the first annual dip on flickr...
